New Press: The Textile Eye

Modernplum's latest press is in The Textile Eye, Summer 2021 edition. This edition features some of the best handmade textiles in North America. The edition is varied and explores many divergent themes in textile making including geometry, accumulation, folklore, and textures. Modernplum's inclusion is in the Folklore category and is one of our special project items from the Deep Sea Collection, 2019. This collection features patchwork pillows and table linens using hand-dyed linen from our remnant collection. As a zero-waste studio, we keep and use whatever we use, even if they are cast offs or little bits of fabric. We accept commissions for one of a kind textiles using this process as a starting point.
